Having walked with the Lord through these deep and unknown places, I have become increasingly aware of the unfathomable extent and depths of His Word. I think there must be no end to learning all there is in the Scriptures, but their greatest value is in their life-changing power.
Why have we exalted men, expecting them to know what we should be discovering about God ourselves? We compare their words with what the Bible says, and we should believe the Bible, not their opinions of it. It seems many of us are still carnal, living much like we did before we accepted Jesus as our Savior. If that's the case, make Him Lord of your life.
If we are to know the truth that sets us free indeed, then we must be honest with one another as well as with ourselves, because apart from an honest heart, how can we believe the truth of God? The only way to know the truth is to be true. Without the truth in ourselves, we can't trust that we believe His words, but if we believe every word of God without an argument, then we do believe God.
If we are to know the truth that sets us free indeed, then we must first be honest with one another and with ourselves, because apart from an honest heart, how can we believe the truth of God?
